    Groton ― Thirty people participating in the Thames River Heritage Park’s Docent Academy spent time Wednesday at Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park.

    The Docent Academy is a ten-week program for training volunteer docents for the park sites in Groton and New London.

    While at the park, the group split into three groups and rotated between the fort, the Ebenezer Avery House and the park’s museum.
