Mohegan names top execs at Inspire in South Korea

Mohegan ― Mohegan, the tribally owned gaming and entertainment company whose properties include Mohegan Sun, announced Monday the appointments of two top executives at Mohegan Inspire, the integrated resort casino it’s scheduled to open this year in Incheon, South Korea.

Chen Si has been promoted to president, while Wade Howk has been named chief operating officer.

"With Mohegan Inspire, we are expanding our horizons beyond what we once thought possible," Ray Pineault, Mohegan’s president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “Mohegan’s move into the global market is not just about growth, but also about sharing our legacy and spirit with the world.”

Si, who has had stints with such organizations as McKinsey management consultants and Las Vegas Sands, will be responsible for strategic planning and operational results at Mohegan Inspire. As COO, Howk will serve as Inspire’s second in command. He has served as chief financial officer and interim president of Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati and as corporate vice president of strategy for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
