Groton ― A sailboat from UConn Avery Point moves past Hobbs Island off the shore of Groton at the mouth of the Thames River on Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will remain sunny in southeastern Connecticut with a high around 70 but Friday will see a chance of rain.
