    Make a Difference: Montville Senior and Social Services

    WHO: Mary and her family

    AGENCY: Montville Senior and Social Services

    SITUATION: Mary’s husband lost his job a year and a half ago for medical reasons, and he does not know if he will be able to return. Mary’s part-time work is their only means of support. They have used up their savings and are falling behind on all monthly bills. Mary is not able to provide gifts for her two children, ages 8 and 5.

    WHAT TO GIVE: Grocery and gas cards (Stop & Shop, ShopRite, Cumberland Farms, etc.). Visa gift cards to help cover monthly bills and other items. Walmart and Target cards for basic needs. Her 8-year-old son likes building things (Legos, model cars or puzzles) and her 5-year-old daughter likes painting, crafts, Squishmallows and her favorite color is pink.
