Toy drive Wednesday for Safe Futures clients
New London ― The Sunrise Cafe at 36 Golden St. will host a toy drive from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday to benefit the Safe Futures domestic violence response agency.
The event, hosted in partnership with Sandi Cleaning Services, Mayor Michael Passero’s office and the city’s police and fire departments, will accept new and unwrapped donations for children, teens and tweens.
Needed gifts include winter coats and apparel, dolls/action figures, play sets, coloring books and writing utensils, backpacks, water bottles, art supplies, craft kits and gift cards.
