Groton’s Thrive 55+ to hold Souper Bowl Saturday fundraiser
Groton ― The Thrive 55+ Active Living Center will hold its annual all-age, community fundraiser, Souper Bowl Saturday, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 10.
Businesses in the area donate soup, bread, desserts and water for the soup-tasting event. There also will be a raffle of professional and semi-professional sports memorabilia, gift cards from area businesses and more.
Proceeds will benefit Thrive 55+ Active Living Center’s nutritional programs.
The event is $10 per person with advanced registration, or $12 per person on the day of the event.
People can register online at www.grotonct.myrec.com or by stopping by the front desk of Thrive 55+. The center is located at 102 Newtown Road.
