    Waterford police seize drugs, gun and cash in raid

    Waterford ― A local man was charged Thursday on a litany of drug charges after police executed a search warrant at his Wild Rose Avenue home as part of a months-long investigation.

    Police in a news release said the search yielded fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana and mushrooms, along with packaging and scales. Officers also seized a gun with no serial number and $4,638 in cash.

    Jordan Strickland, 28, of 20 Wild Rose Ave., was charged with risk of injury to a minor, possession of a firearm without a serial number, cocaine possession, fentanyl possession, psilocin possession, cannabis possession, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of fentanyl with intent to sell, possession of psilocin with intent to sell, possession of cannabis with intent to sell, two counts of operating a drug factory, possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory situation.

    Police said Strickland was released on a $100,000 bond. He is slated to appear in New London Superior Court on April 23.
