GOSA, GO GROTON to hold hike Sunday
Groton ― The Groton Open Space Association and GO GROTON, a collaboration among GOSA, Groton Public Schools and the Town of Groton Parks and Recreation Department, will hold a 2-mile hike at The Merritt Family Forest at 1 p.m. Sunday.
“The figure eight loop trail will take us through the wooded forest, over streams, and past several New England rock walls before returning to the trailhead meadow,” according to the event notice.
People are asked to meet at the trailhead on Fishtown Road (opposite 72 Fishtown Road) for the start. Parking is street side on either Fishtown Road or Rhonda Drive. The hike is moderate level “due to some elevation gain.”
