Bumgardner receives Democratic nomination for 41st House seat

State Rep. Aundré Bumgardner, D-Groton, on Wednesday received the Democratic nomination for the 41st State House District, which covers parts of Groton and Stonington.

"It is truly the honor of my life to receive this nomination," Bumgardner said in a statement. "Together, we've made substantial progress — pushing the needle on environmental policies, enhancing local governance, and ensuring our economy works for everyone."

The endorsement was unanimous, according to Bumgardner, who serves on the legislature’s Environment, Finance, and Planning and Development committees.

Bumgardner, a former Groton Town Councilor, was elected in 2022 to his second term representing the 41st District, after first representing the district from 2015 to 2017.

There is no Republican candidate to challenge Bumgardner.
