Police: Woman found with life-threatening injuries in New London

New London ― A woman found bloody and unconscious in an Ocean Avenue parking lot Friday night was in critical condition as police searched for information.

New London police in a press release said emergency responders were dispatched about 10:47 p.m. to the parking lot of the commercial plaza at 48 Ocean Ave. on a report of an injured woman. She had life-threatening injuries when she was transported to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and then to Yale New Haven Hospital.

Police, citing an ongoing investigation, asked anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident to contact detectives at (860) 447-1481. Information can be submitted anonymously via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip and the information to Tip411 (847411).
