Mitchell's Santiago added to NEIBA All-Star Game roster

Eddie Santiago of Mitchell College, the former New London High School standout, was been added to the roster for the 44th annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association Joe Walsh All-Star Game.

The game features some of the top seniors in Division II and III and will be played Thursday at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I. The game begins at noon and admission is free. Santiago's Mitchell teammate Garet Griffin was named to the 33-man roster earlier.

Santiago, a left-handed pitcher, was an all-New England Collegiate Conference pick and made the D3baseball.com All-New England team as a third-team selection. He was 6-2 this season with a 2.78 earned run average in 11 starts. He struck out 65 in 64.2 innings.
