Steere sells part of Pfizer portfolio
William C. Steere Jr., former chief executive and chairman of the board for Pfizer Inc. and a current director for the company, has sold nearly $1 million worth of the pharmaceutical giant's stock, according to a regulatory filing.The Securities & Exchange Commission filing, recorded Tuesday, shows that Steere sold 52,507 shares of Pfizer common stock Jan. 29 at an execution price of $18.66, for a total payoff of about $980,000. Steere, 73, and his wife, Lynda Gay Powers, retain more than 1.3 million Pfizer shares, according to the paperwork. Filings do not state reasons for stock sales.
