    Chelsea Groton Bank promoted eight officers at its recent Board of Trustees meeting.

    Judy Stumpo, Director of Risk, was promoted to Senior Vice President.

    Kate Allingham, Risk and Compliance Manager, was promoted to Vice President. With the bank since 1999, she led the team implementing the bank's new bank secrecy act/anti-money laundering software in 2012 and launched a new vendor management system.

    Chrissy Caplet, Norwich Branch Manager, was promoted to Assistant Vice President. Caplet joined the bank in 2000. In 2012, she helped develop the bank's new, branch-wide quality control training program.

    Patti Rodgers-Longo, Mortgage Specialist, was promoted to Assistant Vice President. Rodgers-Longo has been with the bank for more than six years.

    Kate Alves, Credit Department Manager, was promoted to Assistant Treasurer. She joinred the bank in 2005.

    Debra Przylucki, General Ledger Manager, was promoted to Assistant Treasurer. She joined the bank in 1993.

    Kelly Burke, Credit Analyst, was promoted to Senior Credit Analyst and Assistant Secretary. Burke was instrumental in the bank's significant 2012 commercial loan underwriting and production increase.

    Lisa Marsie, Assistant Purchasing Manager, was promoted to Assistant Secretary. She has been with the bank since 1999.

    AA Lock & Key Inc. has collected more than $500 for the Ledyard Animal Control over the holidays. The company donated $1 during December for every key duplicated. Clients also were generous with donations. Funds will go to help defray costs at the Ledyard Animal Control facility.

    The Yantic River Inn restaurant in Norwich, which celebrated its first anniversary under new ownership this month, has announced the opening of a dinner theater season starting Feb. 23.

    Tickets for the shows, which include a dinner, salad bar and dessert, are $25 a person. Show times are 6 p.m. Feb. 23 and March 2 as well as 1 p.m. Feb. 24 and March 3.

    Franklin Grussy of Old Saybrook purchased the landmark 250-seat restaurant in October 2011 and reopened it the following February. Co-managers are Martha Lawton of Windham and Thomas Chiarella of Oakdale.

    Preston First Selectman Robert Congdon will be honored Feb. 28 by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut for his leadership in the conversion of the former Norwich Hospital site for economic development purposes. Congdon will be singled out at the chamber's annual meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Spa at Norwich Inn.

    Daniel R. Adams, a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in New London, has been named to the firm's Master's Club of elite financial advisers.

    The appointment recognizes Adams' consistent excellence in providing a wide range of investment products and wealth management services to his clients.

    Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Master's Club members must meet a number of criteria including performance, conduct and compliance standards, revenue, length of experience and assets under supervision.

    The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut has announced a March 8 deadline for the early-bird discount on its trip to London and Paris in August. The chamber has also announced a three-night extension to Rome for trip participants. The discount amounts to $250 per person.

    The trip will include visits to significant locations in all of the cities.

    More than 80 Realtors attended an event last month at the Norwich Holiday Inn designed to help get the word out about the many state-sponsored programs available to first-time homebuyers. The event was co-sponsored by Savings Institute Bank & Trust and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority.
