2nd District candidates to debate Tuesday in New London
New London — The four candidates for U.S. Congress from eastern Connecticut’s 2nd District will debate on Tuesday at Palmer Auditorium on the campus of Connecticut College. Presented by The Day, the debate will be live-streamed on theday.com.
Participating in the 90-minute debate, which is open to the public, will be the incumbent Democrat, Rep. Joe Courtney, Republican candidate Daria Novak, Libertarian candidate Daniel Reale and Green Party candidate Jonathan Pelto. Day Editorial Page Editor Paul Choiniere will moderate. Questions will include those submitted by Connecticut College and Coast Guard Academy students.
Doors open around 7 and the debate begins at 7:30 p.m. The League of Women Voters of Southeastern Connecticut is arranging for the timekeeping.
