The Times weekly newspapers have scheduled community meetings from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 24, at Groton Public Library’s Meeting Room 1 and at the same time Monday, May 1, at New London Public Library’s community room, to solicit ideas for improving the publications and engaging the public.

Lee Howard, The Day's community editor, will be on hand to seek the involvement of interested community members in contributing stories, columns or photography. The Times weeklies are published by The Day.

The meetings in Groton will focus on The Times' publications east of the Thames River. These include the Groton, Mystic, Stonington and Thames River papers.

The New London meeting will be focused on the other four Times publications covering the Lymes, Waterford, New London and Montville.
