    WORKSHOPS

    The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT will host a workshop covering "Productive Time Management" on March 18, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m., presented by Leadership by Design, LLC. The 90-minute workshop will discuss and offer exercises on overcoming several of the 16 time-management obstacles; managing time while maximizing work success; and applying energy to what's important.     In honor of Women's History Month, Chelsea Groton Bank has developed a women's series aimed at bringing like-minded women together for networking. Events and topic discussions include women in business, preparing for a wedding, family planning and aging.     The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce will host a Business Breakfast at the new Ella T.     The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT will host a party for its 110th Anniversary and Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 31, 5:30–8 p.m. at Foxwoods Resort Casino Celebrity Ballroom. The event includes the Annual Regional Chamber Awards, the ECTys, honoring outstanding accomplishments of businesses, individuals, innovators, board members and volunteers.     Jeannettia Varner, of Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, was named member of the year for the Coastal Chapter of BNI for the 2018-2019 fiscal year by her associates. The group meets every Tuesday at 7:15 a.m. at Charter Oak FCU Headquarters, 1055 Hartford Turnpike, Waterford.

    GIVING

    Fairview, Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut in Groton has received a donation of adaptive equipment from Pfizer. Pfizer presented Fairview with key turners, button hooks, zipper pulls, foil pack pill openers and prescription bottle openers. These will be made available to residents of Fairview.     Jewett City Savings Bank’s charitable foundation has awarded a total of $5,000 in grants to support four area libraries. A grant of $2,000 was awarded to the Slater Library and Fanning Annex in Jewett City and  three grants of $1,000 each were awarded to Aldrich Free Public Library in Moosup, the Preston Public Library and the Slater Library in Jewett City.
