Tim Williams and Heather Lathrop-Williams of Stonington are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Douglas, to Lily Meier, daughter of Dan and Jodi Meier of Wayne, Pa.

Doug is a sixth-generation resident of Stonington, a graduate of Stonington High School and Temple University, Philadelphia. He is a playwright and screenwriter whose work has been produced in New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and beyond.

Lily is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. She is a licensed architect at Abby Schwartz Associates, Philadelphia, as well as an accomplished visual artist.

The couple is planning a January 2022 wedding.
