    Stahr named Sailor of the Quarter for Naval Submarine School

    Groton — Electronics Technician First Class Adam Stahr was selected as the Naval Submarine School’s Sailor of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2013 on Thursday, July 11.

    Stahr is a communications and electronic surveillance pre-deployment training instructor in the Pipeline Technical Training Department. Capt. David A. Roberts, the school’s commanding officer, praised Stahr for “increasing levels of knowledge for future radioman, officers and communications divisions throughout the fleet.”

    Stahr received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, gold star in lieu of fourth award.

    Master-at-Arms First Class Mary Miracle, Electronics Technician First Class Kyle Spaniel, Machinist’s Mate First Class Victor Norgaila and Sonar Technician First Class Max Levine were also honored as department sailors of the quarter.

    Electronics Technician Second Class Brandon Whitten Avila was the Junior Sailor of the Quarter. Machinist’s Mate First Class Richard Minniti and Sonar Technician Second Class James Frazier were also nominated. Sonar Technician First Class John Long was honored as the Instructor of the First Quarter.
