    Nowhere Cafe to host fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project, 3 fallen Waterford residents

    New London — The Nowhere Cafe is holding a fundraiser Sunday, Sept. 8, for the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of the three Waterford residents who were killed in combat since Sept. 11, 2001, Marine Cpl. Kemaphoom “Ahn” Chanawongse, Connecticut National Guard Staff Sgt. Edwin Rivera and Army Staff Sgt. Ari Cullers.

    The event, which begins at 11 a.m., will be held at the café at 454 Colman St. It includes food, raffles, music and a silent auction. The cost is $20 per person and the families of the service members are expected to attend. In case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15.
