Four people with local ties graduated from military training.

Air Force Airman Dhananjay P. Patel, Air National Guard Airman Skye M. Chan and Air National Guard Airman First Class Joseph C. Rubino graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

Patel, the son of Panu Patel of Jewett City, is a 2009 graduate of Griswold High School. Chan is a 2009 graduate of Westerly High School. Rubino, the son of Brenda Engel of Voluntown and Frank Rubino of Griswold, is a 2011 graduate of Norwich Free Academy.

Army National Guard Pvt. Andrew T. Henderson graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga. Henderson, the son of William and Brenda Henderson of Niantic, is a 2011 graduate of East Lyme High School.
