Streaming tip: "The Bodyguard"
No, this is NOT the movie with Kevin Whitney and Houston Costner or whatever their names were. Yes, apparently, the handsome Scottish star, Richard Madden, was in something called "Game of Thrones." In this smart, glues-your-eyes-to-the-screen drama, Madden plays Sgt. David Budd, a physically and emotionally wounded British war veteran of Afghanistan now working as a policeman. After stopping a terrorist attack on a commuter train, he's assigned to protect a politician who is a fierce advocate of the very conflict in which he fought. Man, this has so many smart, shifting parts: Skullduggery, romance, fraying loyalties, struggling families, immigration issues, political backstabbing, terror cells ... and a crushing emotional climax that will punch you in the jaw with its quality of suprise.

The first 45 minutes of the show were solid and speedy, dominated by comics who, it seemed to me, had written or at least vetted their material.
