Two screenings for ‘My Father’s Vietnam’

Soren Sorensen’s documentary “My Father’s Vietnam” will be screened at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, as part of the New Haven International Film Festival. The showing will be at Gateway Community College, 20 Church St., New Haven. Sorensen, as well as his father — the film’s subject, Vietnam veteran Peter Sorensen, who lives in Mystic — will participate in a Q&A session. For more information, visit newhavenfilmfestival.com. In addition, the film will be shown on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. at Bethel Cinema, 269 Greenwood Ave., Bethel. The Sorensens will do a Q&A there as well.
