Netflix documentary films at The Day
New London – A film crew shot scenes for a documentary for Netflix in The Day’s newsroom Thursday.
The movie is by the Brooklyn-based Loki Films (which has no connection with the Marvel character or series of the same name). Producer Mary-Jane Mitchell declined to publicly confirm the subject matter of the documentary, citing non-disclosure agreements, but said the events that are the film’s focus happened in Connecticut but not New London County.
The group has filmed at locations around the state, including at the Haley Mansion at the Inn at Mystic, she said.
The Day’s newsroom staff worked elsewhere on Thursday.
The documentary is scheduled to stream on Netflix sometime in 2024.
