Many years ago, I interviewed Sarah McLachlan for an alternative weekly, and it seems to me we spent most of the allotted time talking about dogs. She likes them. A lot.

That was also during the heyday of the Lilith Fair tours - which McLachlan resurrected last summer. Now, in that communal spirit, McLachlan arrives at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods Saturday as part of her "Sarah and Friends" tour that will include sets by Butterfly Boucher and Melissa McClelland.

McLachlan's latest CD is called "Laws of Illusion," featuring her beautiful and typically crafted assortment of balladic hymns and waltzing laments. If you sneak backstage, you might find a lurking hound.
