Live and Local series opens tonight in Mystic

One of the benefits of having so many quality bands in the region is that conceptual performance series spin off in a variety of ways. Welcome to the fray: the new Live and Local series at the Olde Mistick Art Cinemas, 27 Coogan Blvd., Mystic. Tonight, the Sue Menhart Band, the Rivergods and Black Marmot inaugurate the program. For the price of a movie ticket, you'll see three fine acts in the theater's comfy environs.

A bonus: Groton's Regan Enterprises is giving away a trip to New York City to a lucky audience member, including a night in a hotel and two tickets to a Broadway show.
