Maroon 5 in concert at Mohegan Sun
TGIF: Maroon 5, fresh off their performance with Alicia Keys at the Grammys, arrives at the Mohegan Sun Arena Friday for a concert.
As seen on TV: "The Voice" may not have discovered a star yet from among its contestants, but it has served to revivify the career of judge and Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine. He and the band sang "Moves Like Jagger" on the show, and it blew up into a huge hit single and began a second wave of Maroon 5 radio success.
Facts and foolishness: Here's celebrity in a nutshell, inspired by some of the latest "news" about Levine on the Internet. He does yoga - and Men's Health details how intense his workout is. He and other performers (Alec Baldwin and Morgan Freeman among them), through a Sierra Club ad, are asking the president to fight climate change. And Levine bad-mouthed the notion of celebrities marketing their own signature fragrances - but then decided to sell his own.
A familiar song ... or two: The concert's opening acts both had singles that became bouncy radio staples last year - Neon Trees' "Everybody Talks" and Owl City's "Good Time."
