Pitbull performs at MGM Grand at Foxwoods

Hip-hop popster Pitbull performs Friday in the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods.

In November, the Pit Man released an EP of new material called "Meltdown." The first single, "Timber," was a duet with his former tour mate, Ke$ha, and it hit #2 on the Billboard charts. Last year's full-length Pitbull album, "Global Warming," has sold over 350,000 copies.

Sampled artists on the CD include Toots & the Maytals, Mickey & Sylvia, a-ha, as well as a segment of the song "All I Wanna Do," co-written by the late genius Kevin Gilbert - who remains tragically unknown and who was far more talented than most anyone still walking around in the music world. Next year, maybe the Pit Man will sample Gilbert's "Toy Matinee" album.

In the meantime, if it smells curious in the MGM Grand Theater on the night of the show, please note that Pitbull is about to debut his own line of unisex fragrances.
