I hate to not be politically correct — well, sometimes (often) I don't hate it at all — but: You know those extreme metal bands where the vocals sound as though someone threw a wildcat into an industrial blender?

How come it never occurred to me that a woman could be the one making those noises?

I feel bad.

Because the New Hampshire aggressive metal band Conforza, who play Saturday at 33 Golden Street, are fronted by Caitlin Marshall, and hell, yeah, she can roar demonically with the best of 'em. Confarza is on the road celebrating their new "Revival" CD, and Dark Waters End and Sentinel Hill are also on the bill. Don't bring your pet wildcat. It'll confuse the poor beast.
