Trying to be a Blessing
Dallas Moore
In a year's span, Dallas Moore played 337 shows. So let's see, that's 28 days off, much of it, I'm guessing, spent driving to the next gig. So, who better to write about life on the road, which is exactly what he does in "Everything But You," one of the best tunes on his newly released album. While chasing his hopes and dreams he has to leave behind his wife and their 2-year-old daughter, appropriately featured on the music video. It was five years ago that Moore played a few songs at The Day's Live Lunch Break at the Hygienic. Since then he's done what he's always done — play his honky-tonk music in bars and small clubs. But now he's driving in the same country music lane as Chris Stapleton and his new album is getting some notice. Who knows, maybe next time he's in these parts he'll be in a much bigger venue.
