'The Voice' winner Alisan Porter plays Mohegan Sun

To moviegoers of a certain age, Alisan Porter will always be Curly Sue.
Porter starred as the irrepressible moppet (is there any other kind of moppet?) in the comedy "Curly Sue" co-starring Jim Belushi. That was back in 1991, and Porter made a whole new showbiz identity for herself when she auditioned for “The Voice” in 2016.
She not only joined Team Christina, but she went on to win that whole season.
I guess there are second acts in American lives, after all.
Porter will bring her expressive voice to the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den on Sunday for a free show.
