Kudos to all the musicians who performed virtually over the (ongoing) course of the pandemic. Boston roots rocker Adam Ezra found much satisfaction, release and connection through livestreaming — so much so that, starting on March 13, 2020, he performed each night at 7 o'clock Eastern, racking up millions of views.

Those online shows turned into the Gathering Series, a select number of socially-distanced outdoor dates that provided a safe bonding between fans and the Adam Ezra Group. Funds accrued during the series benefitted homeless veterans — which is typical of the AEG's activism.

And now, the group is back on the road in more familiar fashion. They play tonight in Old Saybrook at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center. It promises to be a feverish show of joy and thanksgiving.
