Back to the '80s: Rubix Kube plays Mohegan Sun
You know that Rubix Kube is a super rad 1980s tribute band when you hear that they have played onstage with such ’80s music luminaries as Rick Springfield, Debbie Gibson, Bret Michaels and MC Hammer.
Rubix Kube is in concert Friday at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den, and who knows what tunes they’ll perform. But their past set lists have broken out the likes of “Working for the Weekend,” “Mickey,” “Take On Me” and “Video Killed the Radio Star.” Oh, the memories!
The band members deck themselves out in the kind of clothing — no natural fabrics, neon colors, shoulder pads for days — that just screams “1980s.”
Will there be a haze of Aqua Net hovering over the 1980s throwback? With the big hair on view? No doubt.
