Sam Hunt is in concert at Mohegan Sun
On Friday, Mohegan Sun Arena’s doors will open for the Sam Hunt Live 2022 tour.
The American country singer/songwriter will be in Connecticut to perform some of his most successful hits, such as “Kinfolk” and “Breaking Up Was Easy in the 90’s.” His sophomore album, “Southside,” topped the Billboard Country Album chart after its 2020 release and was considered one of the best albums of the year by the New York Times and Us Weekly.
The Cedartown, Georgia native holds several awards for his popular country tunes: he was crowned as the 2015 New Artist of the Year at the AMAs, and his song “Body Like a Back Road” won the iHeart Radio award for the 2018 Country Song of the Year.
Hunt also has a passion for sports: Before pursuing country music, he tried out for the Kansas City Chiefs. Although his athletic career didn’t take off, his alternative route rocked the country music scene.
