Luann de Lesseps brings her cabaret show to Foxwoods

Luann de Lesseps knows about self-reinvention.

She grew up in Berlin, Connecticut, as one of seven kids in a family where the father owned a construction company. She was a nurse in Connecticut … before becoming a model. She wed Count Alexandre de Lesseps, which made her a Countess. She morphed into a reality TV star thanks to many seasons on “Real Housewives of New York.” She turned that exposure and fame into the chance to develop a cabaret-singer career.

    Phew.

De Lesseps is now moving onto a new series in the “Real Housewives” franchise: the upcoming “RHONY Legacy.”

But don’t think she’s giving up her singing, which she clearly loves doing. She will bring her “Countess Cabaret” to Foxwoods’ Great Cedar Showroom on Saturday. The setlist sure HAS to include “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” right?

See Friday’s edition of The Day for our interview with de Lesseps.

“Countess Cabaret,” 8 p.m. Saturday, Great Cedar Showroom, Foxwoods; $41-$128; foxwoods.com.
