Lady Gaga likes The Killers so much she mentioned them in the lyrics for her song “Boys Boys Boys”: “Baby is a bad boy with some retro sneakers/Let’s go see The Killers and make out in the bleachers.”

Here’s the funny thing: Gaga used to think that The Killers were British.

Nah, they’re from Vegas.

But I can see why she thought that. The Brandon Flowers-fronted rock group has a smart, sharp rock sound that might seem a bit UK, and some of their videos have art-Brit vibes.

Whatever: Their music is great. Their best-known songs are “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me,” but their whole catalog is impressive.

The Killers are on tour and return to Mohegan Sun on Friday. I bet Lady Gaga wishes she were there.
