The king of mariacheño, Christian Nodal, comes to the Sun

Christian Nodal has paved his own path in music and has devised a name for his music: “mariacheño.” That moniker reflects the fact that he melds Mariachi music with the norteño sound.

Nodal has gone from rising star in the industry to full-fledged luminary. He has 10 million subscribers on YouTube, and he has already won his share of awards — including five Latin Grammys. He’s become the most successful regional Mexican singer-songwriter out there.

Oh, and he performs in concert Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena. Should be a great show.
