    John Legend performs at Foxwoods

    John Legend

I guess he’s got the night off from “The Voice”?

John Legend is coming to Foxwoods Friday to perform in concert on Friday, in the midst of the NBC singing competition, where he’s a coach.

Legend, 44, is an amazing singer, musician, and songwriter. He’s also the first Black man to win an EGOT (meaning he’s won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony) and the second youngest to have won an award in all four of those categories (Jennifer Hudson is the youngest). So while adopting Legend as his stage name might have seemed like overreaching — his real name is John Roger Stephens — it now looks more like he manifested.

John Legend, 8 p.m. Friday, Premier Theater, Foxwoods; tickets start at $99; foxwoods.com.
