AG: Hawaii governor can't release Obama birth information

Honolulu - Democratic Gov. Neil Abercrombie is ending his quest to reveal more information about President Barack Obama's Hawaii birth because it's against state law to release private documents. Abercrombie spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz said Friday that state Attorney General David Louie told the governor he can't disclose birth documentation without consent. Dela Cruz said there's nothing more Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document of Obama's birth. Abercrombie launched an effort last month to find a way to end doubt about Obama's Aug. 4, 1961, birth.
