Marilyn Seipold, 87, formerly of Forbes Place and Messina Dr., East Haven, died peacefully on May 15 at the Branford Hills Healthcare Center, with her daughters by her side.  She was the wife of the late Gordon Seipold. Marilyn graduated from East Haven High School and met her husband Gordon while working after school at the soda fountain at Holcomb’s Pharmacy.  She had also worked for AC Gilbert and retired as a mortgage officer from Bank of Boston.

Marilyn loved the ocean and enjoyed boating, fishing, and gardening.  She was a strong, gracious, and loving woman, always there for her family.  She spent her life happily giving to others and was a best friend to her daughters, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Seltzer of New Britain and Marianne Parente and her husband Ernest of Guilford.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, Christian Capiga of New Britain, Jason Parente of Boston, Massachusetts, and Jesse Parente and his wife Lori of Hamden; and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Capiga.
