John B. Rossetti, 86, of East Haven, died peacefully at his home on June 6, surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Elizabeth Acker Rossetti.  John was born in New Haven on Nov. 26, 1925, son of the late Fred and Rosa Palmieri Rossetti.  He had owned and operated Model Tile Company for more than 50 years.  John was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country during World War II. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Fred F. Rossetti of New Fairfield; four daughters, Elizabeth Rossetti of East Haven, Rose Bialicki and her husband Chet of Westbrook, Evelyn Corda and her husband Art of Westbrook, and Regina Rossetti of East Haven.  He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Vallombroso, Jackie Sholes, Christopher Anastasio, Matthew Corda, and Edgardo, Aaron, and Dylan Rossetti, as well as five great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a sister, Amalia Millard, and a grandson, John Vallombroso. 

A funeral service was held at Our Lady of Pompeii Church.  Private burial took place at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Dr., Branford, CT 06405. The East Haven Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
