M. John “Jack” Hamer, 91, of Branford, died July 9 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of the late Annette G. Hamer. Mr. Hamer was born in New Haven on June 19, 1921, son of the late Marvin and Claudia Hamer. He attended the University of Connecticut and was an apprentice architect at Yale. He had worked as an architect with Richard Foster in Greenwich.
He is survived by a niece, Claudia Wolf Vece and her husband Ronald and their children, Cozette and Ronald Vece. He was predeceased by his sister, Elaine Wolf.
Friends may attend a memorial service on Friday, July 13, at 10 a.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church, Branford. There are no calling hours. The W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, is in charge of arrangements.
