    Ida B. Staffa, 76, Hamden, formerly of North Haven

    Ida B. Staffa, 76, of Hamden, formerly of Shaw Dr., North Haven, died Aug. 14, with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of 58 years to Paul F. Staffa. Mrs. Staffa was born on Dec. 2, 1935, daughter of the late Lucy and Joseph Lacey. She had worked for many years as the secretary at St. Stephen’s School in Hamden.

    There was nothing more important to Mrs. Staffa than spending time with her grandchildren who will forever remember her for her selfless nature and strong will. Monday nights will never be the same without her. Mrs. Staffa will live on in them every day, and they will cherish their time together forever.

    Besides her husband, Mrs. Staffa is survived by her loving children, Vivian Ferraro and her husband Robert of North Haven, Paula Siecienski and her husband Daniel of Meriden, Catherine Goodman of Wallingford, and Mark Staffa of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Robert Ferraro, Jr. and his wife Alison of North Haven and Lisa Marie Ferraro of North Haven, whom she cherished more than anything, and her great-grandson, Tyler Joseph Ferraro, who was a twinkling star in her life. In addition, she is survived by her loving sister, Corrine Vitolo of Meriden, as well as many nieces and nephews.

    Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Friday, Aug. 17, at 10:30 a.m.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Barnabas Church at 11 a.m., followed by burial in All Saints Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be Thursday, Aug. 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. www.northhavenfuneral.com
