Shirley R. Woodin Stevens, 89, of East Haven, died at home on Oct. 4. She was the wife of the late Gordon W. Stevens.  Mrs. Stevens was born in West Haven on May 22, 1923, daughter of the late Arthur and Beaulah Hallett Woodin. She was a graduate of West Haven High School and was a member of Christ and The Epiphany Episcopal Church in East Haven.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Reynolds of Cheshire and Joan McKenna of East Haven; five grandchildren, Jonathon Reynolds and his wife Rupal of Brooklyn, New York, Jennifer Reynolds and Jillian Reynolds, both of Cheshire, Shawn McKenna and his wife Jennifer of California, and Cheryl Bruce and her husband William of East Haven; and five great-grandchildren, Harvest and Maple Carocci, and Cole, Chase, and Kendall McKenna. She is also survived by her sister, Beaulah Peterson of Branford. She was predeceased by two brothers, Douglas and Leroy Woodin.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m., at Christ and The Epiphany Church. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
