Jean Carney, 93, of Westbrook, wife of the late actor Art Carney, died on Oct. 31. She was born on Jan. 18, 1919 in Mt. Vernon, New York, daughter of the late Rollin and Edith (Armstrong) Myers. Jean was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, serving as Sunday school teacher and past president of the ECW. She also volunteered at Gladeview Health Care in Old Saybrook.

She is survived by three children, Eileen Carney of Old Saybrook, Brian Carney of North Salem, New York, and Paul Carney of Westbrook. Her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5 at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook. Her funeral service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 336 Main St., Old Saybrook, on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery.
