Sarah Elizabeth Esposito Sapiro, 80, of North Haven, died on Nov. 9 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of Maurice L. Sapiro.  Sarah was born in Shelton on June 28, 1932, daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy Sheehy Esposito. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College and her master’s degree and 6th year from Wesleyan University.  Sarah loved literature and poetry, was a patron of the arts, enjoyed going to the theater, and also wrote poetry. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son John Sapiro of North Haven. She was also survived by two brothers, Frederick Esposito of Richmond, Virginia, and John Esposito of Fernandina Beach, Florida.  She was predeceased by her son Guy Sapiro. 

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven, on Monday, Nov. 12, at 10:30 a.m.  Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt.
