Robert Lynde Sypher, 91, of Madison, died on Feb. 22 after a six month illness.  He was the husband of 56 years to his loving wife Gloria Sypher, who will miss him. Robert was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He and his brother Elly ran the family dairy farm in Chester for many years until his marriage, and he worked at Clinton Nurseries for over 30 years. 

Besides his loving wife, Robert is survived by his daughter Nancy, son Tom, daughter-in-law Beth, granddaughters Emily and Katie, and his brother Donald.  He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Ellsworth, and his sister Mary.    

Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison, on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 4 to 6 p.m.  Private burial will take place in Hammonasset Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
