    Lucita F. Steiner, 84, Branford

    Lucita Ford Steiner, 84, of Branford, died on May 13 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford.  She was the widow of Joseph F. Steiner.  Mrs. Steiner was born in New Haven on March 6, 1929, daughter of the late Francis J. and Lauretta Lynch Ford.  She had worked as a personal banker for New Haven Savings Bank for many years, until retiring.  She also volunteered at the Connecticut Hospice and was a member of St. Elizabeth Church in Branford. 

    She is survived by her children, Robert J. Steiner and his wife Ruth Streeter of St. Augustine, Florida, Caryl M. Healy and her husband Joseph of Northford, Joan S. Angelini and her husband Bill of Westbrook, Susan C. Johnson and her husband Kevin of Durham, and Maureen F. Steiner and her partner Brenda Mowery of Arizona. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Michele C. Steiner, Molly and Conor Healy, Sara and Christopher Angelini, and Matthew and Charlotte Johnson, as well as her sister-in-law Mary Louise Gandossy of East Haven.  She was predeceased by three brothers, Rev. Francis J. Ford (founding pastor of Our Lady of Loretta Church in Waterbury), Thomas Ford, and Joseph Ford, and by two sisters, Callista O’Connell and Lauretta Elges.

    Her funeral procession will leave the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, on Thursday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m., for a mass of Christian burial at St. Elizabeth Church at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  Friends may call on Wednesday, May 15, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.  For directions and online memorial see www.wsclancy.com.
