Laurie H. Davis, 61, of 339 Peddlers Rd., Guilford, died peacefully on May 20 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Edwin R. Davis. Laurie was born in New Haven on June 13, 1951, daughter of the late Clifford J. and Queenie Carmichael Heilig. She graduated from Gateway College in 1983 with a degree in early childhood education and for many years ran the Love & Care Day Care Center. After that she was an employee of CVS for many years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her beloved children Elizabeth Sauer and Julie Davis, as well as her sister Joan H. Cox of Suffern, New York. She was predeceased by her brother Clifford Heilig.

A memorial service will be held at the Northford Congregational Church, Old Post Rd., Northford, on Saturday, June 15, at a time to be announced. Burial will follow in Northford Cemetery, Route 22, Northford.  The Guilford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
