    Albin S. Papeika, 92, of Hamden

    Albin S. Papeika, 92, of Hamden died on June 1 at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of the late Mary DeLucia Papeika. Born in New Haven on Feb. 13, 1921, Mr. Papeika was the son of the late Sylvester and Victoria Chernauskas Papeika. He had worked as a tool and die maker for the former A.C. Gilberts, Wallace Silversmith and later for Schick until his retirement. Mr. Papeika was a member of the Knights of Lithuania at the former St. Casimir Church in New Haven, a member of the Knotty Pine Club, and an avid New York Yankee fan.

    He was the father of Debra A. Papeika of Wallingford, Richard (Karen) Papeika of Woodbridge, Michael (Bonnie) Papeika of Hamden, and James (JilI) Papeika of Pennsylvania; the grandfather of Gregory, Jessica, Elizabeth, Tyler, and Tiffany Papeika; and the brother-in-law of Nell Papeika of Manchester and Josephine D'Amato of Glendale, California. He was predeceased by his brothers Stanley, Robert, and John Papeika.

    His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Therese Church, North Haven. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
