Nelson Thomas Cecarelli, Jr., 27, of Northford, died suddenly on June 1 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that evening in North Haven. Nelson was born in New Haven on Sept. 13, 1985, son of Nelson T. Cecarelli, Sr. and Georgene Iacucci Cecarelli of Northford. A lifelong area resident, he attended North Branford schools and had earned some college credit from Gateway Community College. He had worked on the Cecarelli family farm and, at the time of his death, was working as a truck driver for Severance Trucking Company.  He dearly loved his nephew who held a special place in his heart.  He also enjoyed long walks with his dog Lexi and especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  He was loved by his family and friends and will greatly be missed.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Jenna Cecarelli and her son Dustin Cecarelli, both of Northford; his aunt Bonnie Cecarelli of East Haven; and his uncles, Gary Iacucci and his wife Debbie of North Haven and Lee Iacucci and his wife Patti of East Haven. In addition, he is survived by numerous other relatives and friends whose lives he touched. He was predeceased by his grandparents, George and Patricia Iacucci and Nelson and Joyce Cecarelli.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Northford, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, to attend a funeral service, and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in Northford Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday, June 7, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., North Haven.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1311 Middletown Ave., Northford, CT  06472. www.northhavenfuneral.com
